Panthers fall to Aquinas in Semi's
Aquinas, #1 ranked in NYS and 39th in country (USA today)
Pittsford, #24 rank in NYS
Aquinas moves on to their eighth consecutive Section V championship game after beating the Panthers 28 to 7. Panthers, trailing 7-0, drove inside the Aquinas 10 in the middle of the second quarter, but Aquinas blocked Connor Winn's 25 yd field goal attempt . Aquinas scored 2 touchdowns in the final minute of the first half to break open close game, played in strong winds and rain.
Panthers advance to Semi-Finals
The Panthers defeated East 28-0 to advance to Class AA Semi-finals. Colton Ciufo rushed for two scores and surpassed 1000 yards rushing for the season. Whit Knickerbocker recovered a Panther fumble in the East end zone for the first touchdown of the game. Jack Wallman threw a touchdown pass to Brandon Barker late in the third quarter to complete the scoring. The Panther defense held East in check all game. Highlights included sacks by RJ Pound and Zach Troiani and an interception by John Ciaccio.

Week 7
Rush-Henrietta defeated the Panthers 14-13 on Saturday. The Royal Comets scored on their opening drive of the game to take the early lead. Two Panther turnovers halted drives, but Brandon Barker's 4 yard touchdown run tied the game in the second quarter. RH answered back with a TD with 2:46 to go in the half, making the score 14-7. The Panthers drove down late in the half. A Panther TD was called back for an illegal formation and they settled for a Connor Winn 40 yd field goal as time expired.
The opening drive of the second half ended with Winn's second field goal, this one from 27 yards out. RH's one point advantage held up as the Panthers could not convert on drives that went deep into RH territory. The Royal Comet defense recovered 3 Panther fumbles and intercepted 2 passes. John Ciaccio had a fourth quarter interception that ended a RH scoring threat.
Week 6
Homecoming 2013 was a success as the Panthers defeated the Fairport Red Raiders 19-0 Saturday night. The win secures a share of the County Division 1 championship, the second for the Panthers in the last three years, and a berth in the 2013 Class AA sectionals. Brandon Barker's touchdown run in the second quarter gave the Panthers a 7-0 halftime lead. After forcing Fairport to punt in the opening drive of the second half, the Panthers drove 96 yards and a score. Junior Stephen Rhodes finished off the drive with 21 yd run. The ensuing possession, the Red Raiders drove inside the Panther 10 yd line late in the third quarter, but the defense held. Mac Atkins blocked a 30 yd field goal attempt to end the Fairport drive. Colton Ciufo added a fourth quarter touchdown run to finish the scoring
Week 5
Panthers were defeated by #1 NYS ranked Aquinas Institute, 27-0, in a non-league game at St John Fisher College. A crowd of over 4,000 watched the Iittle Irish take a 7-0 lead into the fourth quarter. 20 fourth quarter points, including an interception return for a touchdown, sent the Panthers to their first loss of the season. The Panthers had entered the game as the #12 ranked team in NYS.
Week 4
2013 Senior Day was a success as the Panthers defeated the Webster Thomas Titans 45 - 7 Saturday. Jack Wallman threw 3 first half touchdown passes to spark the Blue and White. Mac Atkins (2 Tds) and Whit Knickerbocker (1 Td) were on the receiving end of his throws. Colton Ciufo, Anthony Fraguada and Stephen Rhodes had rushing touchdowns. Connor Winn kicked a 24 yard field goal and was a perfect 6 for 6 on extra points. John Ciaccio had an interception for the Panther defense.
Week 3
The Panthers (3-0) defeated Hilton 34 - 7 to move into first place in the Monroe County Division 1 standings. Colton Ciufo rushed for four touchdowns and the defense held Hilton out of the end zone until late in the game. Ciufo had touchdown runs of 13 and 18 yards in the first half to give the Panthers a 14 point lead. The Cadets drove into Panther territory in the second quarter, but a Stephen Grassi sack forced a fumble that was recovered by Zach Traoiani, ended that scoring threat. The Panthers opening drive of the second half concluded with a 10 yard Dusty Rhodes touchdown run around left end. Ciufo finished the scoring with two more touchdowns, the second following a Teddy Malone interception.
Ciufo finished with `165 yards on 25 carries. Jack Wallman threw for 125 yards. Mac Atkins was on the receiving end of 8 throws for 117 yards. Brandon Barker and Bryce Genier led the defense.

Week 2
The Panthers(2-0) defeated Webster Schroeder (1-1) by a score of 44-27 in their 2013 home opener at St John Fisher.
The Panthers jumped to an early 8-0 lead on a Colton Ciufo 5 yard touchdown run and a defensive safety when the Warriors snapped their punt attempt out of the end zone. Schroeder answered with 2 scores after Panther turnovers and the first quarter ended with a Panthers down 13-8. From there the Panthers used strong running, passing and defense to take control of the game. Jack Wallman threw 3 touchdown passes, one covering 69 yards to Junior Tailback Stephen Rhodes, and the Panthers cruised to the win. Wallman also found Brandon Barker and Jesse Connors on the receiving end of his touchdown passes. The Panthers scoring concluded with a nifty run by Anthony Fraguada that covered 25 yards.
Offensively, Jack Wallman finished 10 of 18 for 174 yards, 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. Colton Ciufo carried the ball 30 times for 213 yards and 2 scores. Stephen Rhodes had 3 receptions for 96 yards. On Defense, Barker lead with 15 tackles from his middle linebacker position.

Week 1
The Panthers defeated host Gates-Chili 31-8 Saturday night. Mac Atkins ran for one touchdown and caught a touchdown pass from Jack Wallman to lead the Panthers. Colton Ciufo rushed for 2 scores and Connor Winn kicked a 34 yard field goal and was a perfect 4 for 4 on extra points.
Ciufo finished with 145 yards on 25 carries. Jack Wallman was 6 for 14 for 133 yards including the touchdown pass to Atkins. Atkins had 3 receptions for 61 yards. The Panthers rushed for 235 yards as a team behind the solid line play of Tom O'Grady, Charlie Shuman, Riley Brennan, KJ Burnham and Sam Ignaczak.
The defense was lead by linebackers Brandon Barker (8 tackles), Brady Hoyt (6 tackles) and nose tackle Bryce Genier. Jesse Connors and John Ciaccio each had interceptions as the defense forced several Spartan turnovers.
